Assembly Instructions

HOW TO ASSEMBLE GARELICK 4-STEP FOLDING PONTOON TRANSOM BOARDING LADDER

Assembly Instructions:

  • Assemble the (2) U-channels to the (2) top verticals by using (4) ¼-20 x 5/8” machine screws with (4) ¼-20 locknuts.
    • Note: For ease of assembly, secure the hook end first then attach the opposite end. Fastener heads should always face into the ladder.
  • Insert (6) black caps into the end of the top vertical as well as into the ends of the bottom verticals.
  • Assemble (1) black step to the top verticals using (2) #10 screws.
    • Note: Tighten all screws flush to step.
  • Assemble (2) black steps to the bottom verticals using (4) #10 screws.
    • Note: Tighten all screws flush to step.
  • Join the top vertical section to the bottom vertical section using the hardware shown below.
  • Attach the standoffs to one of the black steps. Choose the steps that best suits your application and aligns with the pontoon accordingly to provide the most support.
  • Punch holes into the black step by using the ¼-20 screw provided in the hardware bag. Align the screw with the hole on the bottom of the black step and strike with hammer to pierce a hole as shown.
  • Using the hole that was punched, assemble the standoff to the step.
  • Attach the Velcro strap to one of the top verticals to secure the bottom vertical section in the up position when not in use.
  • Product is now ready to be installed onto the boat and read to be used.

Maintenance:

  • Periodically check mounting hardware and re-tighten (due to normal boat operation).
  • Regular fresh water rinsing and periodic cleaning with a mild abrasive cleaner will help retain luster and help prevent corrosion.

Safety:

  • This ladder is designed for boat use only
  • Never operate your boat with the ladder in positon. Serious injury or damage to your boat or ladder may result.
