PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Trilux Prop & Drive Aerosol antifouling paint is formulated specifically for aluminium outboards, outdrives and aluminium hulls in underwater areas. When applied over properly primed metal, Trilux Prop & Drive Aerosol will provide good antifouling protection. Biolux Technology is used to control slime growth. Trilux Prop & Drive Aerosol is for use in fresh, salt and brackish water.

APPLICATION AND USE
BARE ALUMINUM:
For Black, White and Gray - Sand with medium grade (grit) emery cloth to a bright metal finish. Immediately apply Viny-Lux Primewash 353/354 thinned 25% with Viny-Lux Solvent 355. Allow to dry for 1-24 hours. Apply 1 full can of Primocon Aerosol Primer YPA985 in a multi-layer procedure.
For Clear - Sand with medium grade (grit) emery cloth. Prime and reapply factory finish before applying Trilux Prop & Drive Aerosol.
PREVIOUSLY PAINTED SURFACES:
with Trilux Prop & Drive Aerosol: Sand with 80 grade (grit) paper.
with Factory Finish or Antifouling Paint: Sand with 80 grade (grit) paper. Clean with Special Thinner 216. Resand any areas where bare aluminium is exposed with medium grade (grit) emery cloth and wipe clean. Follow procedure for bare aluminium above.
Method

At least 2 coats should be applied. Hold can 12-16 inches from the unit when applying the paint. Wait for minimum overcoating time between coats. Continue until the entire can has been used per outdrive. Be sure the paint is completely dry before immersion and allow minimum immersion time.
Hints

Mixing Shake can well, listen for mixing ball & continue shaking vigourously for at least 2 minutes. It is best to shake in an up and down motion. IF CAN IS NOT SHAKEN PROPERLY CLOGGING OF THE TIP MAY RESULT. Trilux Prop & Drive Aerosol Clear is recommended for light colored outdrives such as Volvo, Yamaha and Evinrude. It may appear hazy over Mercury (black) or any dark colored outdrives. For Mercury outdrives use Trilux Prop & Drive Aerosol Black 5493A.
Other

Put extra coats of Trilux Prop & Drive Aerosol on the props and other running gear. For best antifouling protection use entire can of primer and Trilux Prop & Drive Aerosol for each lower unit.
Some Important Points Product temperature should be minimum 10C/50F and maximum 29C/85F. Ambient temperature should be minimum 10C/50F and maximum 35C/95F. Substrate temperature should be minimum 10C/50F and maximum 29C/85F.
Compatibility/Substrates

Apply to clean, dry, properly prepared surfaces only. Do not apply to tin-based paint such as Micron 33, 44 or Tri-Lux IIT. Must be sealed with Primocon Aerosol YPA985.

TRANSPORTATION,STORAGE AND SAFETY INFORMATION
TRANSPORTATION:
Trilux Prop & Drive Aerosol should be kept in securely closed containers during transport and storage.
STORAGE:
Exposure to air and extremes of temperature should be avoided. For the full shelf life of Trilux Prop & Drive Aerosol to be realised ensure that between use the container is firmly closed and the temperature is between 5C/40F and 35C/95F. Keep out of direct sunlight.
Safety DISPOSAL: Container Disposal: Triple Rinse (or equivalent). Then offer for recycling or reconditioning, or puncture and dispose of in a sanitary landfill or by other procedures approved by state or local authorities. Pesticide Disposal: Open dumping is prohibited. Pesticide, spray mixture or rinsate that cannot be used or chemically reprocessed should be disposed of according to procedures approved by Federal, state, or local disposal authorities. Contains biocides. Antifoulings should only be wet sanded. Never dry sand or burn-off old antifoulings.
