92 model mercury motor,failed to crank,checked for spark on one of two cylinders,no plug spark,checked for spark on 2nd cylinder,which fired.let motor sit overnight,checked both cylinders for fire.neither plug would fire.replaced both coils with new ones.still unable to have both plugs to fire.what should i do next to determine problem.thanks

That can be difficult to track down. The only safe way without having to replace every igntion part would be to use an ohm meter and a repair manual. In the repair manual ther will be test procedures for a no spark condition that will narrow down the problem. Be carefull not to just replace parts. A bad component can cause the failer of another and it can get expensive if you guess wrong.
