OMC Stern Drive model number 981059?

I have a 1977 Reinell cabin boat with an OMC stern drive with model number 981059 and serial number W128667 stamped on a small plate on the starboard side of the outdrive.

When I started looking on line for thermostat and O ring for it I found all the sites list 77 OMC stern drives as 990229 or 990230 E or G models and no years of OMCs had a 98xxxx model number. Is there another model number somewhere else? I am sure it is a 77 because I have all the original boat literature and the Reinell is definitely is a 1977 model.

Richard (Mongo) from San Diego here. We have the same boat. It's my first boat and I bought it a month ago. Hard to gather info on this boat online but I have manged some.

990229g is the model# of the engine. 981059 is the model # of the Stern Drive that is outside the boat.
