84 60 HP 2cyl Johnson

Tearing down a 60 HP powerhead, did well until I got to rods,,, my 'star' sockets are to course, the rod has a fine star or spline bolt,, what is, it or size ??? Where can I get the socket ?

Everything else was good ole' American bolts,,,, now the rods have me jammed up

It looks like a 12 point 3/8 socket or wrench would fit,, but it needs a very thin wall socket, very little clearance.

P.S. part 2

I found a complete power head, it is listed as a 1979 Johnson 55hp,, is there any chance that would bolt up to my1984 60 hp Chassis ?? I have a M-J 60ELCRE, with a tore up piston rod, cylinder,,,, big bucks for repairs no doubt,,,, Would things like the Stator, Flywheel, carbs,,,, etc,, etc,,,, marry up to a 1979 55hp Johnson ???
