Wipe down dust and residue on hull with dry rags on entire surface being painted.2. Mask off waterline and other areas with 3M blue masking tape.3. Apply Fiberglass Surface Prep YMA601 with 3/8" nap roller on entire surface to be dewaxed. Work in 10x10 foot areas, in order to ensure product is removed before drying.4. Scrub with Fiberglass Surface Prep YMA601 with a 3M Doodlebug and a maroon or brown Scotch-Brite abrasive pad. Ensure that all areas have been thoroughly scrubbed with the Doodlebug and pad. Near waterline or hard to reach areas, use extra care to thoroughly scrub these areas.5. Use wet rags OR spray down with a fresh water hose. Wipe off all trace of Fiberglass Surface Prep YMA601. Ensure that rags are changed frequently and not reused.6. Verify that all wax was removed from the surface by using a spray bottle of water and checking for water beading. Repeat steps 4-7 if any areas have been found to bead up again.7. Make sure the surface is dry prior to painting.Phase II: Application of Antifouling8. Stir or shake the appropriate volume of Fiberglass Bottomkote Aqua antifouling.9. Apply the Fiberglass Bottomkote Aqua within 4 hours. If this time is exceeded, rinse with fresh water and allow to dry. If exceeding 2 months between de-waxing and painting, repeat steps 3-7 prior to application of Fiberglass Bottomkote Aqua.10. Apply 1 full coat by 3/8" nap roller at 5 mils wet film thickness (yielding 2 mils dry film thickness). Be careful not to over apply as this can affect color stability of subsequent coats.11.
