The Roadpro RPSC-784 Quick Cup Coffee Maker draws its power from a 12-volt cigarette lighter socket. It brews 16 ounces of coffee which is more than enough to wake up any drowsy boater who still has a long way to go. Or, if you do not need to go any further, simply enjoy a full mug of steaming freshly brewed java.
The RPSA-784 is a compact machine measuring 10.5" H x 5.5" W x 9" D that will not occupy too much space in otherwise cramped spaces. It is encased in a shiny black plastic with the brew basket at the front and a water reservoir at the back that includes a water level meter. On the left side of the machine is the red button of the on/off switch which lights up if the brewer is activated.
An open space beneath the brew basket is reserved for the 16-ounce stainless steel travel mug that comes with the coffee maker. The mug is equipped with a lid to prevent coffee from spilling and to keep it hot longer.
A 7-foot cord issues from the machine and terminates in a 12-volt plug that is protected with a fuse. This plug is compatible with the lighter socket of most vehicles, thus drawing power for the machine from it. The coffee maker draws only 156 watts of power to heat its water content and pump it up to the water shower above the brew basket with its removable and washable nylon filter containing the coffee grounds.
It takes about 15 minutes to complete the brew process. If you are in a hurry to take your first sip before all the freshly brewed coffee is drained from the filter, a stop-drip interrupt feature prevents it from dripping into the coffee mug platform.
