The Garelick I-O Swim Platform with Telescope Ladder is designed for use on inboard/outboard transoms. It includes a durable white polyethylene platform, stainless steel wrap-around rails, and a two-step electropolished stainless steel ladder that telescopes down for use.
What are the dimensions of the Garelick I-O Swim Platform?
The white polyethylene platform measures 18" wide by 15-1/2" deep by 3/4" high. The platform mounts at a 10° angle on the transom, and the stainless steel rails extend 12-1/2" above and below the platform.
How does the telescope ladder on the Garelick I-O Swim Platform work?
The stainless steel two-step ladder telescopes down easily when needed. Its deployed length is 22-3/4", while its stowed length is 17". The ladder also features poly comfort steps.
What hardware is included with the Garelick I-O Swim Platform?
The swim platform includes stainless steel hardware for assembling the platform, rails, and struts. Fasteners for mounting the completed platform to the transom are not provided and must be selected to suit the installation.
How should the Garelick I-O Swim Platform be mounted to an inboard/outboard transom?
Position the platform at the desired location, parallel to the water line, and mark the four transom mounting holes. Drill the holes perpendicular to the transom, then use marine-grade adhesive or caulking on the mounting surfaces and holes before securing the platform with suitable fasteners. If the transom is less than 2" thick, a suitable non-compressive backing plate is recommended.
How should the Garelick I-O Swim Platform be maintained?
Periodically check the mounting hardware and re-tighten it as needed due to normal boat operation. Regularly rinse the platform and hardware with fresh water, and periodically clean them with a mild abrasive cleaner to help retain their luster and help prevent corrosion.
