Add to CartThe Slip-Ring Anchor is a traditional fluke anchor design, with the addition of a sliding ring for easy retrieval. Anchor Chain should always be used with steel fluke anchors, to provide weight necessary to maintain the proper approach angle for setting. Fluke anchors require a scope of at least 5:1 (rope length to water depth) in order to set properly. 7:1 scope is recommended. The Anchor is retrieved by backing your boat directly over anchor, which allows the ring to slide to the crown and release the anchor from the opposite direction.
| Weight | Boat Size | Recommended Chain Size | Scope |

| 8 lbs | Up to 24' | 1/4" x 4' | 7:1 |
What is the Greenfield PVC Coated Slip Ring Fluke Anchor designed for?
The Greenfield PVC Coated Slip Ring Fluke Anchor is a traditional fluke anchor designed for light- to medium-duty use in moderate conditions. Its sliding ring helps with anchor retrieval by allowing the anchor to release from the opposite direction when the boat is backed directly over it.
How does the slip ring on the Greenfield Fluke Anchor help with retrieval?
To retrieve the anchor, back the boat directly over the anchor. This allows the sliding ring to move to the crown of the anchor, releasing it from the opposite direction for retrieval.
