Before applying the Lancer Maine boat carpet adhesive, wipe and clean all surfaces. Fiberglass should be cleaned with a solvent that will release and remove mold and mildew. Aluminum and fiberglass should also be sanded with fine-grit sandpaper to remove oxidation and corrosion allowing for a stronger bond between the surface and the carpet.
