These flares exceed US Coast Guard requirements for brightness and burn time and are approved as both a day and nighttime signaling device. The new Eco-friendly formula uses no Perchlorate which makes for easy disposal after use.

How to Activate Locator Boat Flare

1. Grasp the bottom of the flare below the hold line on the label.
2. Remove the black lid on the white cap
3. Twist the white cap, remove and save to ignite the flare
4. Point away from face and body. Aim downwind
5. In a downward motion, strike the button on top of the flare with red abrasive surface on the white cap.
6. Hold the burning flare over the side of the boat
