This kit is designed to provide multiple signaling devices for helping get located during an emergency on the water. The signaling mirror is constructed with durability in mind and can stand up to the corrosive effects of saltwater. This mirror comes with a viewfinder and lanyard. This signaling device has a visibility up to 10 miles. The safety whistle is perfect for marine environments in the case of emergency situations. Constructed from a durable weather resistant material, the whistle provide a loud shrill 116db signal that is perfect for being located on the water.

Signaling Mirror Usage

1. In the case of an emergency and you need to use your signaling mirror, follow these instructions.
2. Place the lanyard around your neck and hold the mirror in one hand.
3. With the mirror at eye level and the face halfway between the sun and rescuer
4. Confirm the sun is reflecting on the mirror by holding your other hand 6-8" directly behind the view finder and noting the spot of sunlight coming through the hole and reflecting upon your hand
5. Sight the rescuer through the view finder and at the same time rotate the mirror until the spot of light coming through the view finder becomes a bright round ring.
6. If no rescuer is visible, sweep the horizon line with the reflection mirror. The signal can be clearly seen up to 10 miles
