“Staycation” is the New Buzzword
Last night while watching the news, I heard a new buzzword, “Staycation.” This basically means to go on vacation but stay close to home.
After thinking about it for a while, I realized that this is EXACTLY what boaters do. Instead of heading to our favorite themepark or hot spot across the country (or world, for that matter), we head to our favorite lake or river near our home. Instead of standing in line for a rollercoaster, we wait anxiously for our turn on the wakeboard or jetski.
These times out on the boat with our family and friend are truly precious, and create lots of great memories. So, next time you’re visiting your favorite local lake or river, remember…you’re on “Boatcation!”
