Quicksilver 807166A3 Water Shutter For MerCruiser Sterndrive Exhaust Systems

Quicksilver 807166A3 Water Shutter is designed to replace two offset plate water shutters and fits numerous MerCruiser sterndrive installations. Also known as a water flapper, this flexible check valve helps prevent water from flowing back through the exhaust system into the engine when it is not running.

Installed inline inside the exhaust system downstream of the flexible union between the elbow and Y-pipe, this water shutter helps protect against corrosion and potential engine damage caused by water intrusion.
