This OEM oil filter keeps oil cleaner longer with the unique filtration system that screens particles smaller than 1/1000th of an inch, The high efficiency design allows for oil to flow at a constant rate to the engine vital points. Thanks to a metal shell that is over 50% thicker than conventional filters, this filter is built to last.

It is recommended that you change your fuel filter after every 100 hours of normal use or minimally once per season.

Mercury Oil Filter Installation Instructions

1. Unscrew old filter and clean mounting base. Be sure old gasket is removed from mounting base
2. Apply a thin coat of oil to filter gasket. Make sure the gasket is seated properly in base of the filter
3. Screw on until the gasket contacts the base. Tighten 1 - 1-1/4 turn
4. Use an acceptable filter wrench if necessary. Do NOT exceed 1 - 1-1/4 turn
5. Refill crank case and run the engine while checking for leaks
6. Check oil level
