The 1st Mate System is an industry-first engine-integrated intelligent hub and wearable safety device designed to enhance boating safety and security. It connects directly with marine propulsion systems to provide real-time alerts, including man overboard monitoring for the captain and up to seven passengers.

If an overboard event occurs, the system triggers distress messaging and sends alerts through connected devices. The captain also benefits from a wireless wearable fob that replaces the traditional mechanical emergency stop switch for greater convenience. In addition to safety features, the system includes a theft deterrent function that allows the engine to be locked to prevent unauthorized use. This kit is compatible with leading engine brands for single-engine applications and includes the core components needed for setup.
