Quicksilver water separating canister element includes an O-ring and a blue plastic water sensor unit. It is compatible with all 1996 and newer Mercury and Mariner V6 EFI outboards. The unit is located under the cowl on all Mercury/Mariner V-6 EFI/DFI outboard engines, 1996 and newer. The filter element removes harmful contaminants, particles, and water from the fuel before it reaches the engine. Check your owner’s manual for inspection and replacement schedules.
