This 25 micron Mercury filter separates water and other impurities from the fuel to increase engine performance. Fuel contamination can result in poor engine performance, stalling, and damage to fuel system components. The filters metal shell features a durable paint finish to resist corrosion in fresh and saltwater marine environments. The filters internal surfaces are coated in an epoxy finish to resist rust and provide a long working life.

It is recommended to change your fuel filter after every 100 hours of use or at least once per season.

Quicksilver Fuel Filter Installation Instructions

1. Unscrew the old filter and clean mounting base. Make sure the old gasket is also removed
2. Apply a thin coat of engine oil to filter gasket and make sure the gasket is seated properly in the base of filter
3. To prevent air from entering the fuel system, fill the filter with fuel
4. Screw on until the gasket contacts the base and tighten 2/3 to 1 full turn
5. Run engine and check for leaks
