Quicksilver 821631Q1 Aluminum Gimbal Housing Anode is designed to help protect MerCruiser sterndrive systems from the damaging effects of galvanic corrosion. It installs at the base of the gimbal housing and is compatible with a wide range of MerCruiser drives, including R, MR, Alpha One Gen II, Bravo series, and select X, XR, and XZ drives.

Cast in aluminum, this anode is engineered to meet Mercury Marine original equipment manufacturer specifications and is intended for use in both fresh and saltwater environments. It helps protect critical sterndrive components located inside the gear case housing and bearing carrier area.

The kit includes installation hardware for fast and easy replacement of corroded anodes using common tools. Existing bolts may be used where applicable. Regular inspection and replacement of worn anodes is recommended to maintain optimal corrosion protection and extend the life of your sterndrive system.
