Sea Hawk Islands 44 TF Bottom Paint

The Sea Hawk Islands 44 TF is an advanced tin-free, self-polishing antifouling bottom paint that keeps your hull bottom free of organic growth over multiple cruising seasons. Suitable for both sailing and motor yachts, Islands 44 TF dries to a glossy sheen which helps reduce drag yielding improved speed with less fuel consumption. This dual-biocide antifouling paint utilizes a high purity Cuprous Oxide combined with pharmaceutical-grade Econea to protect your hull against both hard and soft growth. The controlled release formulation ensures biocides are dispersed at a precise rate independent of water types. Islands 44 TF has high volume solids, maximizing surface coverage to yield reduced paint usage.

Sea Hawk Islands 44 TF's low VOC formulation complies with rigid limits set by the California Air Quality Management Board and offers a slim-resistant yacht finish with California-compliant VOC emissions and low copper leach rate. How to Apply Sea Hawk Islands 44 TF Bottom Paint

Sea Hawk Islands 44 TF Bottom Paint is easily applied by brush, roller, or spray. When rolling, use only a high-quality short nap 3/8” roller cover. Apply using thin coats. For the smoothest possible finish, thin the paint approximately 10% using Sea Hawk 2053 Reducer. Islands 44 TF has a tendency for settling to occur, especially if the paint has been on the shelf for several months. Thoroughly mix the paint before using. Before using, check the sides and bottom of the can to make sure all the pigment has been mixed in.
