SEI Mercury Outboard 3.0L Alpha Repl Lower Unit 1.75 20"

  • Replaces Most Mercury 3.0L Lower Units - 8 or 13 Splines
  • Standard Right Hand Rotation
  • Gear Tooth Count: 12/21
  • Includes Sterndrive Engineering's No Fault Warranty for 3 Years

When replacing a gearcase which has eight driveshaft splines a two piece driveshaft must be used. The SEI unit will not come with the upper driveshaft or coupler. The OEM part numbers for eight spline upper driveshaft kits are as following:

  • 45-824114A 1 for 20" models
  • 45-823901A 1 for 25" models
  • 45-824115A 1 for 30" models

The SEI 216 feature dual water pick ups and utilize a metal water pump. SEI units comes with a water tube coupling which is compatible with engine serial numbers 0G438000 and up. When replacing an OEM unit with  lower serial number the water tube coupling from the original must be reused. A new one may be purchased using OEM part# 816597A1 or SEI part # 96-116-12K. Not designed to replace Sport Master, Torque Master, or other high performance gearcases.
