Add to CartThe SeaStar Xtreme CCX633 control cable works with 3300/33C steering systems featuring 10-32 threaded cable ends. Built as a direct Teleflex Marine replacement, these universal cables fit multiple manufacturers including BMW, Honda, Yamaha, and Volvo without requiring expensive adapter kits. The patent-pending splined core technology reduces lost motion and ensures smooth operation, even on complex or lengthy cable runs. Constructed with stainless steel and brass fittings, these cables maintain superior control feel while exceeding ABYC safety standards and meeting ISO/IMCI and NMMA requirements. With a 4-inch minimum bend radius and USA manufacturing, they're suitable for outboards, inboards, and sterndrives in both OEM and aftermarket applications.

SeaStar Xtreme control cables are universal replacement cables. For Replacement of Existing Cable: If you removed the old cable, measure for replacement cable as follows:
The CCX633 is designed for 3300/33C series control systems with 10-32 threaded cable ends. It fits outboards, inboards, and sterndrives from a wide range of manufacturers including Honda, Yamaha, and Volvo, without requiring separate adapter kits. It also cross-references to a number of Johnson/Evinrude OEM part numbers. (See the cross-reference chart on the product page.)
Yes. This is a direct Teleflex Marine replacement. SeaStar Solutions acquired Teleflex Marine and has since been acquired by Dometic Group. The CCX633 supersedes the older Teleflex 3300/33C cables and is fully compatible with existing connection hardware.
For outboards, measure from your control head along the cable routing path to the center of the outboard, then add 4 feet to allow for a loop that permits unrestricted engine movement. Then round up to the next foot. For inboards and sterndrives, measure from the control to the shift and/or throttle connection and round up to the next foot. If replacing an existing cable, measure tip to tip and round up if needed. Cables are available in 1-foot increments up to 30 feet, then in even-foot increments up to 50 feet.
In most cases, yes. The CCX633 comes with the cable itself; connection end hardware (ball joints, brackets, terminal eyes) is typically sold separately depending on your engine. SeaStar's 3300/33C Connection Kits are available at Wholesale Marine and are the appropriate companion hardware for this cable.
The CCX633 has a 4-inch minimum bend radius. Going tighter than this during installation can kink the cable, introduce friction, and cause stiff or inconsistent throttle and shift feel. This is a meaningful improvement over older Lubri-Core construction cables, which required an 8-inch minimum bend radius, making the CCX633 a better fit for tighter routing paths.
The patent-pending splined core design uses ridges along the core that fit closely within the cable's inner liner, reducing the slack, or "lost motion," that can make throttle and shift response feel vague or imprecise. This is noticeable on longer cable runs or installations with multiple bends, where conventional cables tend to lose feel over distance.
