HOW TO SELECT THE RIGHT SIZE CROOKED CREEK SUP PADDLE

SIZING

  • A general guide to determine length, start with your height then add inches based on the water conditions or your style of paddling:
    • 8” for surf – a shorter paddle will be less cumbersome for surf.
    • 10” for flat water/touring – comfortable length for general paddling
    • 12” for racing – a longer paddle will offer a better position for greater power and more range.
  • Another quick option is to raise your arm over your head. The paddle length should be selected with a little bend in your elbow when your arm is extended up to the grip of the paddle.
  • Make sure you measure the total length of the paddle from the tip of the blade to the top of the grip.
