The E-Z Anchor Puller Hero Drum Anchor Winch is the strongest and most durable drum style anchoring system available worldwide. E-Z Anchor Puller's anchor winches have set the new standard in anchoring systems with their high strength materials and their efficient, simple, and robust design technology. Hero Anchor Winches feature a 316 stainless steel spool and base plate with a powder coated aluminum alloy gear box and motor body. E-Z Anchor Puller motors are IP68 rated for submersible waterproof, and use a patented system to mitigate internal condensation and prevent corrosion. The motor body is pre-rigged with twin leads for easy installation. 

All E-Z Anchor Puller winch motors have 4 magnets and 4 brushes with brass brush holders and have a calculated brush life of at least 10 years. The motors are lower wattage PMDC motors and are designed to run on full load for 30 minutes at a time for 1,000 hours and operate smoothly and successfully on comparatively low currents. This is equal to using the drum anchor winch under full load for 17 minutes every day, 365 days a year, for 10 years.

With the Hero series' optional Electronic Free Fall system, deep water anchoring is easy. After a quick two second push of the lower button on the Electronic Fast Fall controller with electronic voltage booster, the voltage and speed of the motor are both doubled, allowing the anchor to fall faster during deployment. Once your anchor line is fully deployed, you don't need to tie off to a cleat; the Hero will hold the boat at anchor. To retrieve your anchor line and anchor, simply hold the raise button until the anchor is out of the water and against the bow roller. Additionally, all Hero Anchor Winches are equipped with an emergency drive key release that allows the drive shaft to free spin and spool out the anchor line in the unforeseen case of power loss or faulty electronics.

Suggested Applications: Fresh water inland lakes and rivers, or shallow coastal salt water with fresh water rinse after use.
