Pettit AnchorTech offers a paintable, fast drying, hybrid marine sealant that provides outstanding adhesion to aluminum, fiberglass, plastic, steel, wood, and boat hardware. AnchorTech sealant forms a 100% waterproof seal that offers flexibility for joint expansion/contraction caused by temperature & weather fluctuations. AnchorTech offers flexible application, being able to apply to wet surfaces and in temperatures as low as 20°F. Looking for a marine sealant that offers easy gunning, low odor, mold/mildew resistance, smooth tooling, and VOC compliance.

Surface Prep:

• Clean, structurally sound, and free of old caulk, dust, dirt, & debris
• For best resultants it may require a wire brushing, grinding, sandblasting, solvent washing, or primer
• A roughened surface will also enhance bonding.
• Taping sides of a joint is recommended in any project where edge match accuracy is desired

Application Info:

• Apply between 20° - 120° F
• Cut nozzle at 45° angle to desired bead size.
• Puncture the inner foil seal
• Load the Cartridge into a caulk gun
• Fill the gap/crack with sealant and smooth as necessary before it skins over
• Clean excess uncured sealant and tools with mineral spirits
• Scrape or cut excess cured sealant away
• Wash hands/skin with soap and water
• Paintable with Latex and Oil based (use an acrylic primer for oil based paints)
• Allow 30 minutes before exposing to water
