Interlux Primocon Aerosol Marine Primer

Interlux Primocon is an anti-corrosive primer for all underwater metal surfaces.  It will provide an excellent barrier to reduce pitting caused by galvanic corrosion.  For non-aluminum underwater metal use any (non-vinyl) Interlux antifouling paint.  An excellent primer for antifouling paint over sanded fiberglass.  Primocon can be used as a conversion coating over unknown well-adhered antifouling paint to prevent cracking of new antifouling paint.  Primocon will not affect the color of antifouling paint.

How To Apply Interlux Primocon Aerosol Primer

To apply Primocon, shake can well, listening for mixing ball. Continue shaking for at least 1 minute. When applying the paint, hold can 12-16 inches from the unit. Between coats, turn can upside and spray until the spray is clear to clean the nozzle.

  • Application Method: Aerosol
  • Number of Coats: 3-4 coats as needed; use entire can of Primocon aerosol per lower unit.
  • Application Temp: 50°F Min. / 85°F Max.

  • Factory Painted Surfaces
    • Sand with 80 grit paper.
    • Remove sanding residue.
